Get More Twitter Followers Today

Recently, I discovered the value of Twitter and having Twitter followers, I also discovered ways of increasing your Twitter followers. Today, I am going to share with you some of the methods I used to increase my number of Twitter followers in a short period of time.

When I discovered the value of having a Twitter following I decided it was important to go ahead and start to build up my own personal Twitter account.

The first thing I thing was I redesigned my page and while this is not absolutely needed, it is helpful because what you are doing with Twitter is you are creating an image of who you are as a person and your page should show people who you are and what makes you unique.

After all, the goal is to have people follow you, they need to know who you are in order to make you the person worth following.

The next thing you would want to do is start making tweets. Share things that are interesting or relevant, you want to avoid using a bunch of links especially in the beginning, the goal is to gain followers and no one wants to be sold to all the time. Give something back and you will receive.

Now, if you have already done the two things I mentioned already but are still lacking followers chances are you have not yet done this next step:

Following others.

When I first started I did not get it, I did not understand that the best way to gain followers is to follow others. This method coupled with the tweet content and the personalized page will have you increasing the number of your own followers in a very short period of time. Some users have increased their followers by thousands in a few short weeks.

The amount of time it takes you to build your brand (your Twitter followers) will vary depending on you.

What you want to look for are people who are like you or are in the same niche as you are to follow. You can use search.Twitter.com to find the people you are going to follow by using keywords specific to the type of follower you would like to have following you.

Start out following as many as you want, however, try not to go over 500 followers in a day. You don’t want to have thousands of followers and no tweets because this sends off a red flag. My suggestion would be start by following between 100-200 people per day. You will start to see your followers increase but to keep them don’t forget the content!
